In this workshop we will focus on the coupled style of blues danced to blues-, slow swing- and early jazz music. We offer two levels, ”Beginners” and ”Intermediate & up”. Make it a blues weekend package with the Blues Night social dance included. Find the schedule below.
In the Beginners level you sign up individually, we will use the ”everyone lead everyone follow” rotation system. In the intermediate level you need to sign up with a partner.
Sign up by sending an e-mail to info@chicago75.se, we need your name, phone number and e-mail, which level you want (your partners name if if you sign up with a partner). Write ”Blues Workshop” in the subject section. We will send out a confirmation e-mail as soon as we have enough students to run the event. We would therefore appreciate if you could sign up as soon as possible.
The workshop costs 700 SEK per person (550 SEK for students) that includes the social blues dance evening of the 26th of october 21.00-00.00.
It’s also possible to sign up only for one day - in that case let us know. Saturday for one level costs 300/250SEK, Sunday for one level costs 400/300SEK, then the dance evening would be an additional 150/100SEK which is also the entrance fee for those who only want to come for the Blues Night. The payment is to be done at check-in in connection to your first class. Preferably via Swish.

In this class, you'll learn to move effortlessly to a variety of slow jazz and blues music. Rather than focusing on one specific style, we'll emphasize on fundamental movement, rhythm, and connection with your partner. Perfect for anyone looking to build a strong foundation in blues dancing.
Intermediate & Up 17.30–19.00
"Deepen your connection and explore open positions"
This class is designed to refine your movement and enhance your partner connection. You'll also dive into open position techniques and solo dancing, gaining more freedom and creativity in your dance. Ideal for dancers with some experience who are looking to expand their skills.

"Learn fun moves with a touch of flair!"
This class focuses on teaching a variety of beginner-friendly moves, including working with open positions and adding some basic dips. A great way to build confidence and add some excitement to your dancing.
Intermediate & Up 17.30 – 19.30
"Master dips and lifts for a more dynamic dance experience"
Designed for experienced dancers, this class will focus on advanced dips, lifts, and partner techniques that add flair and energy to your blues dancing. Perfect for those who are ready to take their dance to the next level.
