Music inspired by legends of the 40's and 50's such as Tadd Dameron, Duke Ellington, Mary Lou Williams and Elmo Hope.

Alexander Brott is a Swedish/Canadian guitarist and composer who divides his time between Europe and New York where he plays with some of the finest swing and bebop musicians in the world. He has made a name for himself through his unique melodicism, impressive technique and comprehensive knowledge of the jazz styles of the 30’s to 50’s Drawing inspiration from those eras he tries to create music that feels both timeless and contemporary.

This evening will be a release concert for his latest album ”Leon’s Lullaby” and will feature Brott’s compositions as well as music by some of his main idols. With him will be his long standing trio with the great Kenji Rabson on bass and Moussa Fadera on drums as well as the amazing New York based bass clarinetist Stefano Doglioni who will be making a rare appearance in Sweden. Doglioni has established himself as one of the most authentic bebop musicians in New York today and has developed a totally unique way of playing the bass clarinet in the spirit of Charlie Parker.

After the concert the band will continue playing for the Chicago Swing Dance Studio’s dancers until midnight.
